Pukamata is the Māori kupu for Facebook. There are a number of Facebook sites and groups dedicated to learning Te Reo. One of the most well know is Everyday Māori with Hemi Kelly.

Hemi is a teacher of Māori at AUT in Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland). He is not a native speaker and only started learning te reo as a teenager. He is a really good example of someone who has just worked really hard to get to the place that he is today.

Hemi is also an author (fiction and non- fiction) and has published at least two te reo books for learners- one of them called Everyday Maori.

Check out Everyday Māori with Hemi Kelly on Pukamata. Also available on Instagram and podcast. You may also want to check out other things that Hemi offers- including some online te reo classes for limited numbers.
